Disturbing Rumors. Say it Isn’t So!

On Sunday, July 10th, the latest debt limit talks will apparently take place.  Allegedly, the Obama administration, Democrats, and Republicans are not near an agreement of any kind.  That’s what we hear from Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and Boehner.  But ominously, we hear rumors that the Republicans will ” cave in “––– will agree to an increase in taxes (clothed in closing loopholes in the tax code for the so-called           ” wealthy “), further reduction in the military budget, and reductions in spending to kick in in 2019 or 2020! And allow the Obama administration to increase the debt ceiling by over two trillion dollars! A complete capitulation!
If this rumor is true, in part or in whole––––

1. the Tea Party senators and representatives will revolt.
2. The Republican National Committee will be dead in the water.  No more contributions.
3. There will be a number of new candidates for president entering the Republican field –––– Rick Perry? Paul Ryan? Jim DeMint? Rand Paul? John Thune? Chris Christie? ––– and perhaps others, leading to the takeover of the Republican Party or leading to a third-party.
4. There will be a flood of new candidates for the Senate and House aiming to replace the Benedict Arnolds who allowed Obama this debt limit victory.
5. All of this disarray in the Republican Party could well lead to an Obama second term.  Is this what we want? Four more years of the economic dismantling of the United States? NO! We have a couple of days.  Tell the Congressional Republicans to stand firm in demands for tax increases of any sort, a reduction in spending NOW equal to or greater than the increase in the debt limit, and a Constitutional amendment mandating a federal balanced budget. Without these being agreed to, the Republican delegation should walk out, leaving the ball in Obama’s court.

I FEEL TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH THE ANTICS OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.PAUL RYAN’S PROPOSAL FOR A 6 BILLION DOLLAR REDUCTION IN DEFICIT MADE GOOD SENSE. NOW, BOEHNER IS PROPOSING A REDUCED DEFICIT PLAN, & IT APPEARS THE “REAL” REDUCTION IS NO PLACE IN SIGHT. I FEEL A PANG OF DISGUST AT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR CONGRESS. THEY NO LONGER APPEAR TO CARE ABOUT THE CITIZENS.
