Another Obama Medical Disaster Coming
Thursday, May 12th, 2011A number of key medical providers, including the Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, The Geisinger Clinic, and others called the administration’s initial blueprint for accountable care organizations( ACO) so complex as to be unworkable. The administration envisioned quickly setting up hundreds of ACOs around the country to lead a bottom-up reform of America’s so-called “bloated health care system.” The American Medical Group Association (AMGA), an umbrella group representing these premier organizations indicated that 93 percent of its members would not participate, because the rules are so onerus it would be almost impossible for them to succeed. The medical groups’ concerns were many, and focused on issues such as the risk sharing requirement, static risk adjustment, retrospective attribution, quality measurement requirements, the Minimum Savings requirement and others.”
Like everything the Obama administration does in the medical area it is a disaster!
