Hillary Clinton’s E-mails and Benghazi

Saturday, May 23rd, 2015

Slowly, but surely, the drip…drip…of evidence points to the fact that Mrs. Clinton has lied about the catastrophe in Benghazi. The following clearly demonstrates this.

Newly Released Emails Cast Doubt on Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi Claims

Sharyl Attkisson / The Daily Signal/May 22, 2015

Newly reported emails indicate Hillary Clinton was personally made aware of security dangers in the months leading up to the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya. That’s according to the House Benghazi Committee, which has obtained 300 long-sought emails from the State Department among tens of thousands under subpoena.

The Benghazi Committee says there are a number of emails in which State Department personnel specifically passed along security issues to Clinton in 2011 and 2012 before the attacks. An August 2012 email to then-Secretary of State Clinton from one of her top aides, Jake Sullivan, referred to “some warning signs” regarding the deteriorating security situation.

Clinton has long denied being in the loop about mounting dangers in Benghazi and her agency’s rejection of security requests from U.S. personnel, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who was killed in the attacks. Though Clinton was sent multiple cables about security prior to the assaults, she explained that she got far too many to read.

“They are all addressed to me,” Clinton told the House Foreign Affairs Committee in January 2013. “They do not all come to me. They are reported through the bureaucracy.”

The newly reported emails differ from the cables in that they were sent directly to Clinton’s personal email server and, in some cases, were from one of her top aides.

Another question raised by the newly provided emails is whether there was any improper handling of sensitive government information on her personal server. Experts say personal servers lack the strictest level of security and risk being compromised by U.S. enemies.

Last March, Clinton told reporters, “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email. There is no classified material.”

But today, it was reported that a portion of at least one email provided to Congress is considered so sensitive that the FBI has since classified it to prohibit its public release.

Today, Clinton responded by saying, “I’m aware the FBI has asked that a portion of one email be held back … but that doesn’t change the fact that all of the information in the emails was handled appropriately.”

Clinton also told reporters today, “I’m glad the emails are starting to come out. … I’ve asked to be done for a long time. … I want people to be able to see all of them … it is the fact that we have released all of them that have any government relationship whatsoever.”

Gowdy says he is not confident the committee will get all relevant material, because Clinton has acknowledged deleting 30,000 emails that she said were personal in nature.

“To assume a self-selected public record is complete, when no one with a duty or responsibility to the public had the ability to take part in the selection, requires a leap in logic no impartial reviewer should be required to make and strains credibility,” said Gowdy in a statement today.

Gowdy added that there are “inexplicable gaps” in the secretary’s emails during key times of her involvement in Libya policy including:

June 10-Aug. 8, 2011—Time period where Clinton was heavily involved in Libya policy.
Sept. 14-Oct. 21, 2011—Dates of Clinton’s trip to Libya, when the now-famous picture of Clinton on her blackberry was taken
Oct. 21, 2011-Jan. 5, 2012—Time period when the State Department was extending the Benghazi mission for another year
April 27- July 4, 2012—Time period of increased security during which an IED was thrown at the compound blasting a hole through the wall and during which the British ambassador was attacked

Four Americans, including Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty and Sean Smith, were killed in the Benghazi attacks.

Addendum to the “Inflategate” Story

Hot off the press. Brady suspended for 4 games, Patriots hit with one million dollar fine and loss of one first round draft pick in 2016 and one 4th round pick in 2017, and the 2 football attendants fired.

ObamaCare Destructs in Massachusetts

Monday, May 11th, 2015

The Wall Street Journal reported today that Obama care is in dire straits in Massachusetts. To quote the journal, “The administration of Republican governor Charlie Baker confirmed that the FBI and US attorney for Boston have subpoenaed records related to the Commonwealth’s “connector” dating to 2010. This insurance clearinghouse was Mitt Romney’s 2006 beta version for ObamaCare exchanges.”

“The target of the investigation hasn’t been disclosed. But the best autopsy of the connector mass is being published Monday by Boston’s Pioneer Institute think tank after reviews of internal audits and whistleblower testimony were obtained. The evidence was damaging to both Massachusetts’s exchange contractor, CGI Corp., and the administration of former Democratic Govenor Deval Patrick.

“The review reveals years of third-rate technological work, disregarded deadlines, pervasive mis- management, little outcome measurement and general bureaucratic incompetence. An outside auditor noted as early as 2012 that the ‘quantity and/or skills/experience level of project resources may be impacting the ability to complete project tasks within planned time frames and question if staff were sufficiently knowledgeable. A test before going public showed a 90% failure rate, and the new connector detonated on the launch pad. Some 320,000 residents attempting to gain coverage had to be dumped into a temporary free Medicaid program without any income eligibility determination. The total cost of the mess was determined to be around $1 billion.

“…The Massachusetts ObamaCare experience was not merely a problem of quality control but of political accountability or worse. Earlier this year, Governor Baker requested and received the resignation’s of four of the 11 members of the connector board including MIT professor Jonathan Gruber, the Obama care architect who earned fame for mocking ‘the stupidity of the American voter.’

“…It is a sad comment on American politics that law enforcement may prove to be the only other institution that holds someone responsible for failure.”

Saudis Say Thanks, But No Thanks

Saudi Arabia’s King pulled out of the summit that Barack Obama was planning on holding. The summit was directed toward building Arab support for a nuclear accord with the Iran. After this, the ruler of Bahrain also pulled out. So far, the emirs of Qatar and Kuwait have still indicated they are coming. What this means is that the Arab states aren’t in accord with the United States actions and planned to have to one their own to counter Tehran as Saudi Arabia has done in leading a military coalition against Iranian backed rebels in Yemen. The Obama administration had planned this summit as a method to build Arab support for the Iran nuclear deal they had hoped to conclude by the end of June. It is difficult to understand how all Obama and all his foreign policy gurus could fail to understand the deep antipathy that the Sunni Arabs have for the Persian Shiites. The antipathy is strong and has roiled Middle Eastern politics for over 1500 years. And of course, snubbing Obama indicates how far American influence in the Middle East has fallen.

Important News of the Day.

Monday, May 11th, 2015

Today is May 11. Many important things are happening to us both in our domestic realm and in our foreign policy realm. However, the most important issue which it appears that the American people is interested in is what penalties Tom Brady and the New England patriots will incur. Stay tuned. But there are other issues of great importance to us, and I will attempt to outline them in the following posts.
